Torres del Paine Tours from Puerto Natales

Torres del Paine, the towers hike and the glaciers, by traveler rating.

Torres del Paine in a Day

The Torres del Paine full-day tour is the most booked activity in Chilean Patagonia: a small-group loop past the Paine horns, the lakes and the waterfalls with the main viewpoints and guanacos along the road. The version with the Milodón Cave adds the prehistoric cave on the way, and the Miradores trekking day walks to the viewpoints instead of driving.

The Base of the Towers Hike

The Base of the Towers day hike is the highest-rated experience on this page and the hardest: a fifteen-hour day with around eight hours of walking to the lake beneath the three granite towers. The small-group trekking versions of the same hike add a guide ratio that helps on the final moraine.

Grey Glacier by Boat

The three-hour scenic boat tour to Grey Glacier sails across the lake to the ice face and its icebergs, the easiest glacier close-up in the park. From Puerto Natales itself, the Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers cruise is a half-day up the fjord.

Wind, Season and Park Rules

The park season runs from October to April, with the strongest winds in summer; bring a shell layer for every tour. The towers hike needs decent fitness and good footwear. Most tours cancel free up to 24 hours before.
