Santiago Tours, Wine Valleys and Coastal Day Trips

Valparaíso, the wine valleys and the Andes, ranked by what travelers book most.

Valparaíso and Viña del Mar

The Valparaíso, Viña del Mar and Casablanca Valley tour is the most booked activity in Chile: the painted hills and funiculars of the port, the beachfront of Viña and a winery stop on the way back. The wine-tour version spends longer in Casablanca, and the classic sightseeing tour focuses on the two cities.

Wine in the Maipo Valley

The Maipo Valley tour visits four wineries with tastings and food, the fullest wine day from the city. The Cousiño Macul heritage tour is the short version, a historic estate inside the city limits.

Cajón del Maipo and the Andes

The Cajón del Maipo and Embalse El Yeso trip climbs to the turquoise reservoir in the Andes and is the most popular mountain day from Santiago. The Volcán San José hike is the active version, an eight-kilometer small-group walk at altitude.

The City Itself

The guided walking tour of the historic old town covers the Plaza de Armas and the markets in three hours, and the cable car, funicular and San Cristóbal walk is the top-rated way up the hill for the view of the city against the mountains. Summer heat and winter smog both favor morning starts. Most tours cancel free up to 24 hours before.
