Booking FAQs

Answers to the questions travelers ask most before and after booking an experience through showmetheworld.tours.

How do I book a tour or ticket?

Pick an experience, click the booking button and choose your date, time and group size on the secure checkout page of our partner booking platform. Pay by card or wallet, and your confirmation and ticket arrive by email within minutes.

Is the price on the site the final price?

Prices shown here are starting prices in euros for the cheapest option on the day the page was updated. The checkout price depends on the date, option, group size and currency you select, and that is the price that applies.

Are entry tickets included in the tour price?

For guided tours of attractions, yes, unless the booking page says otherwise. Each listing states exactly what is included and excluded, so check the Includes section before you pay. Tips for guides are optional.

When do I pay?

At the time of booking. Some experiences offer a reserve now, pay later option, in which case the booking page states the payment deadline.

How far in advance should I book?

Headline attractions such as the Colosseum, the Vatican, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and Alcatraz regularly sell out days or weeks ahead, especially from April to October. If you see availability for your date, book it; most experiences can still be cancelled free up to 24 hours before.

Can I cancel if my plans change?

Most experiences offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. The exact deadline is shown on the booking page and in your confirmation. Non-refundable experiences are labelled before you pay. See the Cancellation Policy for details.

How do I cancel or change a booking?

Use the manage-booking link in your confirmation email, or log in to the booking platform with the email address you used. You can cancel, move the date or change the number of participants there, subject to availability and the cancellation deadline.

How long does a refund take?

Refunds for cancellations within the free window are issued automatically to the original payment method and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

I have not received my confirmation email. What should I do?

Check your spam or promotions folder first. If nothing has arrived after an hour, log in to the booking platform's website or app with the email you used and the booking will be listed there, along with your ticket.

Do I need to print my ticket?

Almost never. Show the mobile ticket from your confirmation email or the booking platform's app at the meeting point. The booking page says if a printed voucher is required.

Where do I meet the guide?

The meeting point and start time are in your confirmation email, with a map link. Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early; tours leave on time and late arrivals are treated as no-shows.

Is hotel pickup included?

Only when the booking page says so. Day trips often include pickup from central hotels or a fixed meeting point; walking tours and entry tickets do not.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Walking tours and museum visits run rain or shine. Boat trips, balloon flights and some outdoor activities may be cancelled by the operator for safety, in which case you will be offered another date or a full refund.

Can I book for a group or as a private tour?

Many experiences offer a private option on the booking page. For groups of ten or more, message the operator through the booking platform before you book; most offer group rates.

Are tours available in English?

Yes. Every experience we feature is offered in English. Many also run in other languages; pick the language on the booking page.

Is there an age limit or a child price?

Most experiences have child and infant rates and some have minimum ages, especially for boat trips, bike tours and evening events. Age limits and prices by age are shown on the booking page.

What if the attraction is closed on my date?

If a museum or monument closes unexpectedly, the operator will offer a rebooking or a refund for the affected part of the experience. Scheduled closures are already blocked out in the booking calendar.

Who do I contact with a question about my booking?

The operator named in your confirmation email, through the manage-booking link or the booking platform's customer service, which is available every day. They can see your booking; we cannot. For anything about this site, use the Help Center.
