Cancellation Policy
Plans change. This page explains how cancellations, refunds and changes work for experiences you find on showmetheworld.tours. Bookings are completed with our partner tour operators, so the exact terms for each experience are shown on its booking page before you pay. Where those terms differ from this page, the booking page applies.
Free Cancellation Window
Most experiences on this site can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. The cancellation deadline is shown on the booking page and in your confirmation email, and it is calculated in the local time of the experience.
Late Cancellations and No-Shows
Cancellations made after the free-cancellation deadline, and failure to show up at the meeting point, are not refundable unless the operator says otherwise. If you are running late, contact the operator using the details in your confirmation; many will do their best to help, but they are not obliged to.
Non-Refundable Experiences
Some experiences are sold as non-refundable, usually time-sensitive entry tickets, special events and heavily discounted offers. These are clearly labelled before purchase and cannot be cancelled or refunded once booked.
How to Cancel
Use the link in your booking confirmation email to cancel or change a booking. Cancellations made within the free window are refunded automatically to the original payment method. Refunds usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Changes to Dates, Times and Group Size
Many operators allow you to move your booking to another date or time, subject to availability, up until the cancellation deadline. Reducing the number of participants inside the free window is treated as a partial cancellation and refunded in the same way. Adding participants is a new booking at the current price.
Weather and Operator Cancellations
Boat trips, hot-air balloon flights, outdoor activities and some day trips depend on the weather. If an operator cancels for safety or weather reasons, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund. The same applies if the operator cancels for any other reason, including minimum group sizes not being met.
Attraction Closures and Strikes
If a museum, monument or attraction closes unexpectedly, the operator will offer a rebooking or refund for the affected part of the experience. Where the closure is announced in advance, the operator will contact you with options before the start date.
Travel Insurance
We recommend travel insurance that covers cancellations for illness, missed connections and other events outside the scope of this policy. Refunds under this policy are limited to the price paid for the experience and do not cover flights, accommodation or other costs.
Questions about a specific booking should go to the operator named in your confirmation. For anything else, see our Help Center.
