Las Vegas Shows, Canyon Trips and Helicopter Flights

Canyon day trips, helicopter flights and the big shows, ranked by traveler ratings.

Grand Canyon Day Trips from the Strip

The most booked activities in Las Vegas are not in Las Vegas. The Grand Canyon West tours leave early, stop at Hoover Dam on the way and give time at the rim, with the Skywalk as an optional add-on; the version with two meals included is the top-rated of the bunch. The helicopter landing tour flies into the canyon and sets down on the floor, the fastest way to see it if a full day on the road does not appeal.

Antelope Canyon and Valley of Fire

Antelope Canyon with Horseshoe Bend is a long day, around fifteen hours, but the slot canyon light is the photo most people come for. Valley of Fire is the short option, six hours in a small group among red sandstone an hour from the city, and it is the highest-rated tour on this page.

Shows and the Sphere

O by Cirque du Soleil at the Bellagio is the show travelers rate highest, and tickets go fast for weekend nights. The Sphere Experience is the newest big ticket in town. For a different kind of show, the night helicopter flight over the Strip takes about twelve minutes and leaves from just off the Boulevard.

Desert Heat and Pickup Times

Canyon tours pick up from Strip hotels before sunrise, so check your pickup point the night before. Summer days top 100°F; carry water and book outdoor trips for spring and fall if you can. Most tours allow free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead.
